RISE Zambia is committed to providing full scholarships to students from rural communities to aid in shrinking the serious shortage of healthcare workers in Zambia.

Our Prescription for Success

RISE Zambia supports our scholars through more than just funding.


FINANCIAL STABILITY

Provide financial support to deserving students for tuition, room & board, and necessary expenses to help them pursue their dreams.

PAYING IT FORWARD

Extend the program's reach through regular student visits to primary schools in local villages to encourage and inspire the next generation.

MENTORSHIP

Intensive support and mentorship for students with a goal of 90% graduation and national exam certification rate.

COMMUNITY IMPACT

Ensure scholars are employed in Zambia post-graduation to improve the status of access to healthcare for their communities and their country.

Our Impact

We provide intensive support and mentorship for students with a goal of 100% graduation and post-graduation employment in Zambia. While still relatively new at this, we have so far met that goal.

YEARS of scholarships

While still young, RISE Zambia has already had an impact on more than 500 students through the scholars’ visits to the 14+ Foundation’s primary school Chipakata Children’s Academy.

STUDENTS have received FULL SCHOLARSHIPS

Beginning with 4 scholars at the Makeni College of Nursing & Health Sciences, RISE Zambia now has scholars at St. Luke’s School of Nursing & Midwifery, Macha Mission Hospital & Nursing School, and the Unversity Teaching Hospital, as of December 2023.

RAISED TO SUPPORT SCHOLARSHIPS

RISE Zambia has a goal of raising at least $30,000 in 2024 to support at least 10 new scholars at an average cost of $3,000 per student per year.
